What are we doing?

Meeting each other
We have monthly cafe meetings, usually (but not always) on the second Sunday of the month at 2pm in a central location. We usually organise various other events (ie dinners, video nights) inbetween the coffee meetings.  Any member can suggest an event.

Please sign up to the Ideas People events list if you would like to be kept posted. You will also be informed when a new person's profile is put up on the site.

Keeping each other informed of Interesting Things and attending them..
On the Interesting Things events list people can post events they would like to go to, so they can get someone to go with them! A variety of events are posted, catering for different tastes. You can add to this variety by posting something we haven't done yet!

You may also use the Interesting Things events list to publicise events or websites that you are involved with, books you have written etc. You can also send articles / letters / songs / poems etc that you have written, or information about research, businesses or inventions that you are involved with to the list.

Contacting people individually
Please feel free to contact people who have put their email addresses on the bottom of their profiles.

How do I join?

Joining Ideas People is free.

You have a couple of options:

- Subscribe to the events and interestingthings lists.

Subscribe to Lists - click here and send email to register

If you wish not to be on one or other of the lists, please specify this in your email.

-   Put up a profile.

If you would like to do this, please fill out the profile form. Please note: if you do not want to put up your real email address, you can always create a free account on yahoo, and have the mail redirect to your usual email address.
